IMPORTANT UPDATE:

From 01 July 2026 burial plots at Geelong Memorial Park will increase in price by $1 120. Secure this years price by 29 June.

Each grave can accommodate up to two burials (one above the other), if required. Therefore, a family of six could purchase three graves, providing burial space for all family members.

We currently complete most of our services in Flinders Memorial Park (Lara). This cemetery location is SOLD OUT. Geelong Memorial Park (Armstrong Creek) is approximately 52 min from MGM and is expected to sell out as well. Secure a burial location today as there is limited availability.

Can I choose my location?

Limited choices may be available. Graves will be allocated sequentially. Families who have purchased more than one will be allocated graves next to each other where available.

Each funeral consists of 3 main charges:
1: Right of Interment (grave)
2: Interment fee (digging/opening the grave)
3: Funeral home service costs

There may be other costs associated at the time of burial such as Islamic timbers or coffin/casket charges if burying in a casket.

This project covers the cost for the grave (Right of Interment). All other charges are required at the time of burial.

The Right of Interment (ROI) holder decides who is buried in the grave. The ROI holder does not have to be the person who will be buried there, and children do not need to be listed as ROI holders to be buried. This provides flexibility should family circumstances change.

Upon completing your purchase you will have the oppotunity to nominate the holder of the Right of Interment (ROI). This does not determine who will be buried in the grave. The holder/s of ROI has the right to determine who will be buried there, and may decide to bury someone else in the grave instead. Thus, children are not required to be holder/s of ROI. If the unfortunate situation arises that a child is to be buried, the holder of ROI can make that decision.

Yes. At Werribee Islamic Centre we provide a comprehensive funeral service to assist you during your time of grief. We take pride in the service that we provide and our dedicated team are available to assist. However, reserving your location through our project does not restrict you to the use of our services.

Each grave can accomodate two traditional Islamic burials. This is selected at the time of burial when you arrange the service with your funeral provider. Let them know your preference and they will advise the cemetery to dig the correct depth required.

Traditional Islamic burials are hand lowered into the grave. It requires men to enter the grave and the deceased is passed to them to be buried. For safety the grave cannot be dug deeper than this. When burying in a coffin/casket equipment can be used to lower the deceased into the grave instead.

Yes. Please contact our team to arrange this when required. You can pay the remainder as a lump sum and cancel the subscription. We cannot change your monthly payment option.
